Positive impact on environment and health through food, responsibilities and politics

The climate threat is our greatest challenge of our time. The temperature rises, the water levels rise, extreme weather becomes more and more common. Research from Cornell University, New York, fears that by 2100 we will have 2 billion people on the run because of these climate changes.

At the same time, diet-related diseases are increasing dramatically around the world. More than half of Sweden's population is according to Public health authorities are overweight and as much as 30-35% of all cancer cases could be prevented with a better diet. Our health and our earth is in crisis and if we continue on the same path it will have devastating consequences for ourselves and our planet. How we eat and what we consume affects the climate, good health and good environment go hand in hand.

Therefore, through changing diets, we can turn this negative trend into something that leads to a positive impact for both our health and for the planet. By breaking down today's system and presenting an alternative, we can contribute to a healthier life and one greener planet. We need to place responsibility on the politicians and, through economic instruments, present concrete proposals for change.

Even though we starting to realise that we as consumer need to change the way we eat it’s still not enough. A thorough review of how we tax our food on the actual costs of bad food is needed. REFORMAT is a campaign that demands the Swedish government to overlook the current tax system and calculate the actual costs of what we eat.

Breakfast is included in the price of the ticket. The event will be held in Moon, check for signs upon arrival.
